About JPH

The Ministry of Higher Education Malaysia (MoHE) had introduced tourism and hospitality courses into the Malaysian Polytechnic education programme. Tourism and hospitality course was first introduced in July 2004 at the Politeknik Perlis in the Department of Hospitality (JHP). Ago Politeknik Tuanku Syed Sirajuddin known as Polytechnic Perlis. Effective from 1 January 2011, the department was known as the Department of Tourism & Hospitality (JPH). PTSS is the 18th polytechnic that was established under the MoHE and that offers full tourism and hospitality courses. The JPH PTSS consists of two programmes: Diploma Hotel & Catering Management (3 years) and Diploma Tourism Management (3 years), offers diploma that meet the industry standards.


JPH PTSS are also offering Certificate of Polytechnic Special Skill in Hotel & Catering Management, initially designed for special (deaf/mute) student that should have equal opportunities to able bodied and not be the forgotten ostracised exploited people in our society and bring a positive and life-changing impact on their lives in future.
